R.I.P. Bruce Roehrs (Posted: April 23rd 2010)
Bruce Roehrs spent his entire life loving, above all else, Rock and Roll. He would forsake all else; love, money, health and well being, for the next great band or reunion. He would travel miles to see one more Templars show, to hear Lemmy belt out one more chorus, or Anti-Seen in some state they had never played before. He loved rock and roll the way kids love baseball. So the next time you’re moved uncontrollably to the front of the crowd, or your days trials are echoed in the lyrics of your favorite band, The next time your otherwise shitty day has one ray of light in the brilliant distortion of some here today, gone tomorrow Finnish black-metal band, Raise a glass or raise your fist and think of my friend Bruce. - Ben MRR Memorial Fund
Rumblers C.C., NYC 10th Annual (Posted: April 19th 2010)
Come join The Rumblers C.C., NYC for their Tenth Annual "Kustom Kills and Hot Rod Thrills" car show! Some said it couldn't be done, others said it shouldn't be done. . . but here we are, ten years later and still going strong! This is an important milestone for us, 2010 will celebrate an entire decade of Hard-Core Hot Rods, Kustoms, and like minded folks all gathering in one location on The East Coast!
A date has been set! After scratching our heads for the past four months, we have finally all agreed on a date. The show will take place on Saturday, August 21th, 2010 at our infamous location underneath the B.Q.E. in Brooklyn, New York! (The Brooklyn/Queens Expressway @ The Corner of Union Ave. and Meeker).
We look forward to seeing all of the familiar faces that have become a part of the show over the past nine years, and we have been working hard to secure more space for all of the new folks just getting into Hot Rods and Kustoms or who are coming to check out our show for the first time!
We will begin letting cars enter the show at 10:00am sharp!
While most people have been cuddling under their blankets to hide from the winter, the guys in The Rumblers C.C. (NYC) have gotten an early start on planning out this years event! Thanks to your help the show has grown much larger than anyone had ever expected, so we will be doing a few new things this time around. We're trying to secure more space (in the same location of course, under The B.Q.E. @ Union Ave.) and we are offering pre-registration to the first 100 cars.
Pre-registering is easy, simply send your payment to the address below (pre-registraion is $20) . Please include the make, model, and license plate number of your car, as well as a self addressed, stamped envelope where we can send your "pre-registration package" to.
Make checks or money orders payable to:
Brian Darwas
P.O. Box 467
Bronx, NY 10461
Please keep in mind that the show is open to all Pre-1964 Hot Rods and Kustoms. As much as we love all cars from all eras, space is extremely limited and we will only be admitting American cars made before 1964 (sorry).
**VENDORS** We still have limited number of vending spaces available for the show! Please contact us for more information!
